Title:
HUMAN BODY STEP LENGTH MEASURING METHOD FOR USE IN WEARABLE DEVICE AND MEASURING DEVICE OF THE METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/132999
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A human body step length measuring method for use in a wearable device. Two inertia sensors (1 and 2) are used to unitarily capture and store the acceleration and angular speed data of a human body while walking, then a corresponding algorithm is utilized to calculate step length information of a user. Also applicable in estimating the degree of gait asymmetry of the user. The two inertia sensors (1 and 2) respectively are placed on both legs of the user and are simple, convenient, and lightweight to wear. The wearable device for implementing the human body step length measuring method, comprising the two inertia sensors (1 and 2) and a host machine (3). The inertia sensors (1 and 2) each comprise a three-dimensional accelerometer and a three-dimensional angular speedometer. The inertia sensors (1 and 2) are connected to the host machine (3) for data transmission. The host machine (3) is used for controlling the two inertia sensors (1 and 2) to capture the acceleration and angular speed data and to collect and store the data.
