Abstract:
The present invention relates to a human face recognition method based on an improved multi-channel Gabor filter. The present invention comprises: a first step of acquiring a feature image when an input is of face images of N persons (N is a natural number of two or more) and an output is of an image of a stepped particle histogram feature vector expression of statistics; a second step of dividing the respective face images into a plurality of overlapping sub-images in the same manner; and a third step of generating a histogram of all the sub-images so as to extract a stepped histogram feature vector sequence. Therefore, the Gabor filter and center-symmetric local binary patterns (CS-LBP) are combined, thereby extracting feature points, which are robust against noise, and providing an effect of enabling high dimensionality of the extracted face feature point to be reduced.
