Abstract:
A human interface of a driving support system (1) includes: a peripheral-object-information acquisition device (10) that acquires information about a peripheral object existing in the vicinity of a vehicle; a heads-up display (20) that displays an icon representing the peripheral object over the actual view around the vehicle in a superimposed manner; a motion sensor (11) that detects the fingers of the hands of a driver who grips the steering wheel; a matching unit (31a) that matches an icon desired by the driver with any of item of mark information according to a detected finger position or movement; and a display control unit (31b) that displays the information about the peripheral object, indicated by the matched icon, on the heads-up display (20) in a superimposed manner.
