Abstract:
The present invention relates to a human-propelled watercraft and an easy-to-fold human-propelled apparatus which is mounted on the human-propelled watercraft. In order to enable an occupant to move while looking forward in a traveling direction, the human-propelled watercraft uses a propulsion mechanism which generates propulsive force by converting forward and backward motions of the arms of the occupant into right and left reciprocating motions of a foil submerged in water. The human-propelled apparatus according to the present invention uses a folding mechanism in which a handle crank and a vibration crank, which determine the overall size thereof, are combined with a folding hinge interposed therebetween and the rotational center line of the folding hinge divides the included angle of the two cranks into two equal parts such that the folding mechanism allows the two cranks to be as close as possible to each other when the handle crank is turned and folded toward the vibration crank. As such, the human-propelled apparatus according to the present invention minimizes the volume thereof by one operation, thereby providing the effects of making it easily portable and saving storage space.
