Abstract:
This invention provides a humidity conditioner comprising a coolant circuit (50). The coolant circuit (50) comprises a compressor (53), a first adsorption heat exchanger (51) with an adsorbent supported thereon, an opening variable expansion valve (55), and a second adsorption heat exchanger (52) with an adsorbent supported thereon. A first batch operation in which moisture in the air is adsorbed in the second adsorption heat exchanger (52) while moisture is released into the air in the first adsorption heat exchanger (51), and a second batch operation in which moisture in the air is adsorbed in the first adsorption heat exchanger (51) while moisture is released into the air in the second adsorption heat exchanger (52), are alternately carried out to supply humidity conditioned air into a room. The opening of the expansion valve (55) is controlled so that, upon the elapse of the valve control start time after a predetermined time from the start of each batch operation, the degree of superheat of the coolant in the coolant circuit (50) is brought to a predetermined value.
