Abstract:
Provided are a humidity control device that can adsorb and desorb moisture at a low power consumption and a humidity control method. A humidity control device comprises: an air intake pipe; an air exhaust pipe; a moisture absorption unit that stores a hygroscopic liquid containing a hygroscopic substance and that absorbs moisture in the air into the hygroscopic liquid; an electrostatic atomization unit that provides a plurality of electrically charged droplets by generating static electricity in the hygroscopic liquid that has absorbed moisture while discharging the hygroscopic liquid that has absorbed moisture; and a separation unit that separates the plurality of electrically charged droplets into first droplets and second droplets that have a larger particle size than the first droplets.
