Abstract:
An HVDC system capable of monitoring cooling water for each valve or valve section according to the present invention comprises: at least one valve or valve section including multiple adjacent submodules; a flowmeter which is installed for each valve or valve section and at a predetermined position of a pipe through which cooling water for cooling the submodules flows, and is configured to enable electric power generation according to the flow of cooling water therein; and a cooling water monitoring unit which receives, from each flowmeter, input of information on the flow rate of cooling water flowing through a corresponding valve or valve section, to monitor the flow rate of cooling water in each valve or valve section.
