Abstract:
This hybrid automobile (100) is a parallel-type hybrid automobile in which a motor generator (5) is positioned between an engine (1) and a transmission (62). The engine (1) is configured so as to perform lean operation when in a low-load operating region. The number of rotations at which the power generation efficiency of the motor generator (5) is highest is configured so as to be within a range (Xa) of the number of rotations in a low-rotation-side portion (a) in an operating range (A) of 95% fuel mileage of the engine (1).
