Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is an active/passive hybrid control system for suppressing multi-modal coupled vibrations of a bridge. A first sliding member moves, under the action of an object to be controlled, in a direction opposite to the operating direction of said object, such that the first sliding member generates a force for canceling the vertical vibrations of said object; and the first sliding member transmits the force to said object, thereby canceling the vertical vibrations generated by said object. A second sliding member moves, under the action of said object, in the direction opposite to the operating direction of said object, such that the second sliding member generates a force for canceling the transverse vibrations of said object; and the second sliding member transmits the force to said object, thereby canceling the transverse vibrations generated by said object. A rotating member rotates, under the action of said object, in a direction opposite to the twisting direction of said object, such that the rotating member generates a torque for canceling the torsional vibrations of said object; and the rotating member transmits the torque to said object, thereby canceling the torsional vibration generated by said object.
