Abstract:
A hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) 1 uses electrical power generated by an internal combustion engine (ICE) 2 and drives front wheels 9 by a motor generator 4 through a drive shaft 10. A lower part of the internal combustion engine 2 is disposed toward the front of a vehicle body and at a distance relative to a lower part of the motor generator 4. A steering gear box 7 is disposed forwardly of the drive shafts 10 between the internal combustion engine 2 and the motor generator 4. With this configuration, steering stability, steering feeling, and noise and vibration performance can be balanced at a high level.
