Abstract:

Provided is a hybrid street light with which it is possible to obtain the effect of encouraging people to make use of an illuminated space, and with which it is possible for said space to be used efficiently. This hybrid street light is provided with: an electricity generating device main body (1) provided, on an upper portion of a support post (5), with a vertical axis type wind-powered electricity generating device (6) and a solar-powered electricity generating device (7); an illuminating device (2) which is disposed on the support post (5) and is lit by one or both of the wind-powered electricity generating device (6) and the solar-powered electricity generating device (7); and a seat (3) attached to the support post (5). During the day when the sun is out, electricity is generated by the solar-powered electricity generating device (7). The wind-powered electricity generating device (6) generates electricity when subjected to wind capable of causing blades (11) to rotate, irrespective of the time of day or night. Since the seat (3) is attached to the support post (5), it is possible to obtain the effect of encouraging people to make use of the illuminated space, and it is possible for said space to be used efficiently.
