Abstract:
The present invention provides a hybrid vehicle control device that determines whether an opening malfunction exists in an EGR valve and, immediately before switching from an EV mode to a series mode, executes a pre-run in which an engine is run at a smaller load than the load in the series mode for a certain period of time while the motor drives the hybrid vehicle, wherein the pre-run includes: a normal pre-mode in which the engine is run at a first load in the case where the EGR valve is not determined to have an opening malfunction during the pre-run; and a small malfunction pre-mode and a large malfunction pre-mode in which the engine is run at a second load larger than the first load in the case where the EGR valve is determined to have an opening malfunction during the pre-run.
