Abstract:
When the shift position (SP) is in the neutral (N) position and the proportion of state of charge(SOC) of the battery is less than or equal to a threshold (Slow) (S120), the engine commences motoring by way of a first motor (MG1) on condition that the stopping of the vehicle has been secured (S140, S150), and after the engine starts up (S130), a gate cut-off is carried out upon the inverter of the motor (MG1), and the engine is driven independently at N1 RPM, where N1 is greater than the voltage whereat the counter electromotive force (CEMF) generated by the motor (MG1) acts on the inverter (S180-S200).
