Abstract:
When an EV→HEV mode switch request (S11) is produced, a motor /generator that replaces an alternator so as to enable powering is substituted as an engine idle rotation motor and operated at a clutch rotation synchronizing target rotating speed (tNes) so as to idly rotate an engine at the same rotating speed (S13, S14). Thus, when a clutch input/output rotation difference (ΔN) is less than a synchronization determination value (ΔNs)(S15), a clutch is engaged (S16) and the engine is started (S17), thus completing the EV→HEV mode switching. Because the clutch rotation synchronization is caused through the idle rotation via motor drive without depending on engine operation, clutch engagement shock can be decreased.
