Abstract:
This vehicle (1) has a drive motor (3) that drives left and right rear wheels (2), and a power generation unit (4) that generates electric power used by the drive motor (3). The power generation unit (4) has a generator (5) that generates electric power to be supplied to the drive motor (3), and an internal combustion engine (6) that can drive the generator (5). The power generation unit (4) is disposed such that the internal combustion engine (6) is longitudinally disposed in relation to the vehicle (1) such that a rotation axis (L3) of a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine (6) is along the forward-backward direction of the vehicle. In the vehicle (1), the power generation unit (4) is disposed such that the rotation axis (L3) of the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine (6) is offset from a vehicle centerline (L1) in plan view.
