Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition for smoke treatment comprising: hydrated lime having a BET specific surface area no lower than 25 m2/g and a BJH total porous volume no lower than 0.1 cm3/g; at least one additive selected from the group made up of NaCl, Na2SO4, CaCl2 and the mixtures thereof, the additive/hydrated lime ratio by weight being higher than 1:100; and less than 5 % water by weight.
