Abstract:
Provided is a hydraulic auto tensioner provided with: a cylinder (22), of which the upper end is open and the lower end is closed; a rod (23) inserted into the cylinder (22) so as to be movable vertically; a hydraulic damper mechanism (24) provided inside the cylinder (22); a spring seat (25) fixed to an upper end of the rod (23); and a return spring (26) disposed surrounding the outer circumference of the cylinder (22), wherein a dust cap (27) is provided, the dust cap (27) comprises: an annular flange part (45) inserted between an upper end of the return spring (26) and the spring seat (25); and a cylinder part (46) extending downward from an inner end of the flange part (45) in the radial direction through an annular gap between the outer circumference of the cylinder (22) and the inner circumference of the return spring (26).
