Abstract:
A hydraulic braking system including an ABS unit (40) having a first and a second inlet channel (23, 27) and four sensors associated with respective four ABS outlet channels (20', 2Γ, 24', 25'). The outlet channels are connected, through respective bi-fluidic interfaces (30", 31 ", 34", 35"), to a first and a second front brake (30', 3 Γ) and a first and a second rear brake (34', 35') of a motor vehicle. A control unit (28) is configured to control vehicle braking by selectively closing, in use, the connections of the channels (20', 21 ', 24', 25') with the front brakes (30', 3 Γ) and the rear brakes (34', 35'). The system further includes a first and a second brake pedal (11, 12) configured to introduce pressurised fluid into the first and the second ABS inlet channels (23, 27), and a first and a second switch (10', 10"), located in correspondence of the first pedal and the second pedal, respectively, and configured to transmit respective electrical signals to the control unit (28) upon actuation of the first pedal and/or the second pedal;. The invention further concerns an operation method of the system.
