Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to provide a hydraulic fracturing method and a hydraulic fracturing system for gas hydrate layers that can form a crack in the gas hydrate layer using a hydraulic fluid that does not contain additives and that can maintain good permeability in the gas hydrate layer without injecting proppant. Provided is a hydraulic fracturing method for gas hydrate layers wherein a pipe 3 that extends to a prescribed depth t at which a crack is to be formed in a gas hydrate layer G2 and though which a pressurized fluid flows is constructed in the ground, and a crack C is formed at the prescribed depth by injecting, at the prescribed depth in the gas hydrate layer G2, the pressurized fluid for which the pressurized fluid pressure P (MPa) has been adjusted to a range of (2.9 + P0) (MPa) ≤ P (MPa) < P1 (MPa) where P0 (MPa) is the minimum stress at the prescribed depth and P1 (MPa) is the internal pressure resistance of the pipe 3.
