Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hydraulic pressure brake system comprising a cylinder device which comprises a front chamber at the front side of a pressurization piston, and a rear chamber at the rear side of the pressurization piston. According to the present invention, a fluid leak at a brake system is detected based on the hydraulic pressure of the rear chamber. The pressurization piston bottoms out due to a hydraulic fluid leak at the front chamber when a state in which a value (ΔP) corresponding to an actual rear hydraulic pressure subtracted from a target rear hydraulic pressure is larger than a threshold value (ΔPth) for first abnormality determination lasts longer than a first abnormality determination time (T1), after which the actual rear hydraulic pressure (Ps) increases to be larger than a predetermined grade, and the value (ΔP) becomes smaller than a threshold value (δP) for return determination. A fluid leak at the brake system may be detected based on a change in the actual rear hydraulic pressure and the difference between the target rear hydraulic pressure and the actual rear hydraulic pressure.
