Abstract:

A hydraulic pump or motor adapted to reliably prevent the contact surfaces of a piston and a shoe from being separated from each other while allowing a slight slide thereof, comprising a hemispherical shoe contacting a rotary board member via a spherical surface thereof and having on the opposite side of the spherical surface a smooth flat surface contacting a piston, and a combining means for setting the piston and shoe slidable in the direction parallel to the contact surfaces thereof, and combining them with each other so that they are not moved relatively in their separating direction, a valve plate which allows in order the inflow and outflow of a working fluid into and from cylinder bores in accordance with a rotation of the cylinder block, and which is fixed to a housing, slidingly contacting a bottom surface of the cylinder block, a joint being provided which connects the rotary board member and cylinder block to each other, and synchronously rotates the same, the rotary board member or the cylinder block being connected to a driving shaft.
