Abstract:
Disclosed is a hydraulic shock absorbing device (10) wherein a piston rod (14) is inserted into an oil chamber (27) in a cylinder (13) provided in a damper case (11), and wherein a damping force generation device (40) is provided between a piston side oil chamber (27A) in the cylinder (13) and a rod side oil chamber (27B) therein. This hydraulic shock absorbing device (10) is configured in such a way that an outside flow passage (13C) which establishes communication between the piston side oil chamber (27A) and the rod side oil chamber (27B) is provided around the oil chamber (27) inside the cylinder (13) in the damper case (11), and an oil sump chamber (32) is provided around the oil chamber (27) and the outside flow passage (13C), which are located inside the cylinder (13) in the damper case (11).
