Abstract:
A hydraulic shovel comprising: a plurality of cameras which are attached to an upper rotation body and which capture images of an area surrounding the same; a controller which, on the basis of said camera images, detects an obstruction existing in the area surrounding the upper rotation body; and a speaker which, when the obstruction is detected by the controller, announces the same. The controller, if a lock lever is in a lock release position, and if from when the controller started up, an operation lever is kept in a non-operational state, allows an announcement by the speaker, and, if the lock lever is in the lock release position and if a state of the operation lever changed from an operational state to the non-operational state, allows the announcement by the speaker when the non-operational state continues for a time period equal to or greater than a prescribed time period.
