Abstract:
A hydraulic surgical instrument (1) includes: a first supply/discharge channel (41) which connects a first operation chamber (31) of a supply/discharge device (3) to a first pressure chamber (21) of a hydraulic actuator (2); and a second supply/discharge channel (42) which connects a second operation chamber (32) of the supply/discharge device (3) to a second pressure chamber (22) of the hydraulic actuator (2). In addition, the surgical instrument (1) includes a relief valve (5), and an intake port (51) and a discharge port (52) of said relief valve (5) are respectively connected to the second supply/discharge channel (42) and the first supply/discharge channel (41). A piston (34) of the supply/discharge device (3) is moved in a closing direction and in an opening direction by a drive device (8), and the drive device (8) is controlled by a control device (9). When opening a jaw (12), the control device (9) controls the drive device (8) so as to move the piston (34) in the opening direction after the jaw (12) is fully opened.
