Abstract:
The movement of an expander (15) by actuation of a manual hydraulic pump (40) in a hydraulically powered flaring hand tool (10) contacts die elements (104) so as to move the die elements (104) radially outward to flare hollow malleable cylindrical tubing (202). the tool (10) has a manual hydraulic pump (40) for producing movement of a shaft (22), an adjuster member (12) coupled to the manual hydraulic pump (40), permitting the shaft (22) to slide through the adjuster member (12), an expander (15) coupled to the shaft (22) end, and a die set (16) having a plurality of die elements (104), the die set (16) is coupled to the adjuster member (12).
