A hydro-pneumatic pumping installation comprises two double action hydro-pneumatic boosters (2, 3) containing pistons (5, 13) which form in the pneumatic cylinders pneumatic chambers (6, 7, 14, 15) of variable volume connected to the outlets of the corresponding two-position power distributors (35, 36, 39, 40) intended to control the back and forth movements of the piston (5) of one booster (2) according to a preset relationship with the movements of the piston (13) of the other booster (3). The hydraulic chambers (8, 9, 16, 17) of the boosters (2, 3) are connected to the force (22) and drain (23) hydraulic mains connected in their turn to an actuating element (1). The installation further comprises two-position controlling pneumatic distributors (37, 38, 41, 42) intended for switching the distributors (35, 36, 39, 40). The pneumatic chambers (6, 7) of one booster (2) are connected through the corresponding distributors (35, 36, 39, 40) to the pneumatic chambers (14, 15) of the other booster (3).
