Abstract:
The invention provides a hydrocarbon fuel production method comprising: a first process wherein after the temperature and pressure of a mixture, which contains an aliphatic compound produced by algae and a hydrocarbon solvent in a supercritical state with a critical temperature of 90°C or above, are adjusted and maintained so that the solubility of the aliphatic compound in the hydrocarbon solvent is 15 g or less per 100 g of hydrocarbon solvent, the soluble portion of the aliphatic compound in the hydrocarbon solvent is collected; and a second process wherein the soluble portion collected in the first process is hydrogenated using a catalyst.
