Title:
HYDROCARBON GAS REFORMING CATALYST, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SYNTHETIC GAS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/027727
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a hydrocarbon gas reforming catalyst which efficiently produces hydrogen and carbon monoxide by causing a hydrocarbon-containing starting material gas to react with carbon dioxide, water vapor, oxygen or the like, while suppressing deposition of carbon. Also disclosed are a method for producing the hydrocarbon gas reforming catalyst and a method for producing a synthetic gas using the thus-produced hydrocarbon gas reforming catalyst. A hydrocarbon gas reforming catalyst is produced via a process in which a starting material that contains Sr and a starting material that contains Ti and/or Zr are subjected to a heat treatment in the presence of NiO, thereby synthesizing an Ni-SrTiO3 solid solution and/or an Ni-SrZrO3 solid solution that is a perovskite compound into which Ni is solid-solved. SrCO3 is used as the Sr starting material, TiO2 is used as the Ti starting material, and ZrO2 is used as the Zr starting material. By reducing the above-described hydrocarbon gas reforming catalyst, a reduced catalyst which contains Ni metal, SrTiO3 and/or SrZrO3 as main components is obtained.
