Abstract:
The present invention uses a simple configuration to stably obtain high damping performance across the entire range of the normal rotation speed range in a torque converter that comprises a dynamic damper. This hydrodynamic power transmission device is provided with a torque converter main body (8), a lock-up device (6), and a dynamic damper (7). The lock-up device (6) comprises an output plate (20) that is connected to a turbine (4). The dynamic damper (7) is fixed to the output plate (20) of the lock-up device (6) and attenuates rotational speed fluctuation from an engine. The dynamic damper (7) comprises a base plate (28), an inertial body (I), and a flexible unit (33). The base plate (28) is fixed to the output plate (20). The inertial body (I) is capable of movement relative to the base plate (28) in the direction of rotation. The flexible unit (33) has non-linear torsional characteristics and flexibly connects the base plate (28) and the inertial body (I) in the direction of rotation.
