Abstract:
Proposed is a retarder for fitting in a drive train, said retarder comprising a multi-part retarder housing having a retarder housing part and an activation device for a synchronisation device. The synchronisation device is positioned in the retarder housing and comprises a sliding sleeve, by means of which the synchronisation device can be activated. According to the invention, the activation device has an actuation device and a lever mechanism, the actuation device being outside the retarder housing part and the lever mechanism being substantially inside the retarder housing.
