Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a self-supportive organic-inorganic hybrid hydrogel which can be prepared by simple mixing at room temperature. [Solution] The present invention provides: a hydrogel-forming composition capable of forming a self-supportive hydrogel, the hydrogel-forming composition being characterized by comprising colloidal silica particles (A) and a polymer (B) containing a unit structure represented by formula (1) (in the formula, R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-10 linear, branched, or cyclic alkyl group which may have a substituent, or R1 and R2 may bond with each other to form a ring structure); and a hydrogel prepared from the hydrogel-forming composition.
