Title:
HYDROGEN-ENRICHED ELECTROLYZED WATER GENERATOR AND METHOD OF LOWERING PH OF HYDROGEN-ENRICHED ELECTROLYZED WATER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/056987
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a hydrogen-enriched electrolyzed water generator, with which it is possible to suppress increases in the pH of the hydrogen-enriched electrolyzed water with almost no accompanying decline in the dissolved hydrogen concentration of the hydrogen-enriched electrolyzed water generated. The hydrogen-enriched electrolyzed water generator is provided with an electrolytic cell, which has an anode chamber and a cathode chamber partitioned from each other by a diaphragm, and which, while being supplied with water, carries out electrolysis of water by passing a current, across the diaphragm, through electrodes disposed in the respective electrode chambers, thereby allowing discharge of acidic water from the anode chamber and also discharge of alkaline hydrogen-enriched electrolyzed water from the cathode chamber. The hydrogen-enriched electrolyzed water generator is also provided with a return bypass flow path which merges a portion of the acidic water discharged from the electrolytic cell with the feed water supplied to the anode chamber.
