Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a hydrogen generator which can generate water containing hydrogen gas in abundance while inhibiting the pH from increasing to the extent that the water quality does not alkalize, and which can generate a flavor component along with hydrogen gas. To also provide a hydrogen generation container. [Solution] A hydrogen-rich water generator (40) is provided with a container (44) which encloses water and a flavor component along with magnesium grains capable of generating hydrogen gas by reacting with water, wherein the container (44) is formed from a gas-permeable and water-impermeable material which allows hydrogen gas and the flavor component to pass from the inside to the outside while not allowing water to permeate to the outside from the inside. At least one thermoplastic resin selected from a group comprising polyvinylidene chloride (A), polyvinyl chloride (B), and polyacrylonitrile (C) may be used as the gas-permeable and water-impermeable material.
