Abstract:
A hydrogen generator (200) which is provided with: a reformer (2); a starting material gas supply device (3) for supplying a starting material gas to the reformer (2); a combustor (4); and a combustion air supply device (9) for supplying an air for combustion to the combustor (4). The hydrogen generator (200) is also provided with: a starting material gas amount detector (5) for detecting the amount of the starting material gas supplied to the reformer (2); a reforming temperature detector (6) for detecting the temperature of the reformer (2); and a controller (7). The controller (7) sets a control parameter on the basis of the reforming temperature detected by the reforming temperature detector (6) in cases where the starting material gas supply device (3) supplies the starting material gas so that the starting material gas amount detected by the starting material gas amount detector (5) is at a predetermined value or on the basis of the temperature change rate detected by the reforming temperature detector (6) when the temperature of the reformer (2) is increased due to heating by the combustor (4).
