Abstract:
Provided is a block copolymer and a thermoplastic elastomer composition having excellent tensile strength and elastic recoverability and good abrasion resistance. In specific terms, provided are a hydrogenated block copolymer obtained by hydrogenation of a block copolymer comprising two or more polymer blocks (a) having structural units derived from an aromatic vinyl compound and one or more polymer block b) having structural units derived from isoprene and 1,3-butadiene, wherein the crystallization peak temperature (Tc) as defined below is -3 to 15ºC. Also provided is a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing the block copolymer. (The crystallization peak temperature (Tc)) = peak top temperature of the exothermic peak observed when a sample is heated from 30ºC to 150ºC at a temperature elevation rate of 10ºC/minute and then cooled to -100ºC at a temperature reduction rate of 10ºC/minute (crystallization peak temperature (Tc) as determined using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC)).
