Abstract:
A hydrogenated NBR composition obtained by compounding 100 parts by weight of a hydrogenated NBR blend comprising 35-50 wt% medium- to high-nitrile-content hydrogenated NBR having an acrylonitrile content of 30-38% and 65-50 wt% high-nitrile-content hydrogenated NBR having an acrylonitrile content of 40-46% with 40-80 parts by weight of silica having a BET specific surface area of 40-100 m2/g and 0.5-3 parts by weight of a silane coupling agent. Due to the use of the blend of the medium- to high-nitrile-content hydrogenated NBR with the high-nitrile-content hydrogenated NBR, both foaming resistance in HFC134a and swelling resistance in POE oils can be attained. Furthermore, due to the use of the silane having the specific BET specific surface area and the silane coupling agent, desired compression set characteristics and product wear resistance can be ensured. Namely, the hydrogenated NBR composition satisfies various properties required for product functions with respect to HFC134a/PAG oils and HFO1234yf/POE oils.
