Abstract:
(1) A hydrogenated norbornene-based ring-opening polymerization polymer obtained by subjecting 2-norbornene to ring-opening polymerization to obtain a polymer and hydrogenating 80% or more of the carbon-carbon double bonds of the backbone thereof, characterized by having a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) as measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) of 50,000-200,000, a molecular-weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.5-10.0, and a melting point of 110-145°C; or a hydrogenated norbornene-based ring-opening polymerization polymer obtained by subjecting 2-norbornene to ring-opening copolymerization with a substituted norbornene monomer to obtain a copolymer and hydrogenating 80% or more of the carbon-carbon double bonds of the copolymer, characterized in that the proportion of repeating units (A) derived from 2-norbornene to all repeating units is 90-99 wt.%, the proportion of repeating units (B) derived from the substituted norbornene monomer to all repeating units is 1-10 wt.%, and the melting point is 110-145°C. Also provided are: a resin composition and a molding material each containing either of these hydrogenated polymers; and a molded object, resin film or sheet, multilayered object, package, medical molding, sheet for blister forming, blister, and multilayered blow-molded container each obtained using either of these hydrogenated polymers.
