Abstract:
Provided is a hydrolytic exothermic agent exhibiting a large heat generation amount, and excellent heat-generation continuity. Furthermore, provided is a hydrolytic exothermic agent which does not generate hydrogen gas during heat generation, which is very safe as there are no abrupt temperature increases therewith, and which is capable of being reclaimed. The hydrolytic exothermic agent includes calcium oxide and calcium aluminate in quantities effective for achieving a synergistic effect. Commercial alumina cement can also be used as the calcium aluminate. Furthermore, by being subjected to heat treatment at 250˚C-950˚C, residue of the hydrolytic exothermic agent after heat generation can be converted into the hydrolytic exothermic agent, and reclaimed. As a result, a reclaimable hydrolytic exothermic agent capable of being used repeatedly can be achieved.
