Abstract:
Provided are: a hydrophilic coating film which exhibits not only excellent initial humidification performance but also excellent long-term humidification performance; a method for producing this hydrophilic coating film; and a humidifier element. This hydrophilic coating film (7) contains porous silica gel particles (3), fine hydrophilic inorganic particles (2) having an average particle diameter that is smaller than the average pore diameter of the silica gel particles (3), and a thickening agent (8). In a method for producing this hydrophilic coating film (7), a coating composition which contains water (6), the thickening agent (8), the porous silica gel particles (3) and the fine hydrophilic inorganic particles (2) having an average particle diameter that is smaller than the average pore diameter of the silica gel particles (3) is applied to a base (1) and dried thereon.
