Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a short-chain fatty acid derivative capable of performing a physiological function inherent to a short chain fatty acid. [Solution] Provided is a block or graft copolymer containing: a hydrophobic segment having a repeating unit including a short-chain fatty acid that can be hydrolyzed by an esterase in vivo; and a hydrophilic segment including a poly(ethylene glycol) chain. This copolymer is effective in treating or therapeutically treating various diseases or disorders including cancer.
