Abstract:
In the serious global situation where fresh water usable as agricultural water is continuously decreasing, a high salinity problem caused by changes in groundwater levels in reclaimed agricultural land is arising in Korea. When plants are grown under a high salinity (seawater) condition, plants cannot possibly grow normally as a result of water stress, oxidative stress, cell membrane disruption, deficiency caused by nutrient imbalance, etc. Provided, in order to solve such problem, is a hydroponic method using seawater, in which a culture medium prepared using seawater is used, the hydroponic method using seawater using a microbubble generator to supply microbubbles to the root zones of cultivated plants. According to such configuration of the present invention, microbubbles are used under a condition of a high-salinity culture medium using seawater, and thus a damage of crop growth reduction caused by the high salinity of the culture medium is reduced, normal cultivation is possible, and minerals, etc. in the seawater are absorbed into crops, thereby enabling the production of high-quality crops having increased functional material content.
