Abstract:
A hydrostatic linear guide unit (1) having a shaft (10) for performing linear
guidance and a slider (20) fitted over the shaft (10) with a very small sliding
clearance (30) left in between the two and linearly moving along the shaft (10).
High-pressure fluid supplied into the very small sliding clearance (30) holds
the shaft (10) and the slider (20) without contact between them, and the slider
(20) moves linearly along the shaft (10). A high-pressure fluid supply path
is formed inside the shaft (10) to allow the high-pressure fluid supplied from
a high-pressure fluid supply source to be led to the sliding clearance (30) through
the high-pressure fluid supply path. The high-pressure fluid supply path is
made up of a supply hole (11) and ejection holes (12) branched from the supply hole
(11). The construction allows a hose for supplying high-pressure fluid, such
as high-pressure air, to be placed on the stationary side. This eliminates an
influence to positioning of movement side components that is performed in accuracy
in the micron order. Thus, the hydrostatic linear guide unit has a simple structure,
has excellent operating stability, and has reduced production costs.
