Provided is a hydrotalcite compound that can achieve superior thermal stability. A hydrotalcite compound according to an embodiment of the present invention is represented by general formula (I), and in an X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern using Cu-Kα radiation, has two peaks attributed to (003) diffraction in the range where the diffraction angle 2θ is greater than or equal to 10° and less than or equal to 14°.
