Abstract:
A hydrotalcite-like particulate material having a particle size of 0.24 mm or greater can be produced by drying a material containing at least a hydrotalcite-like substance and having a moisture content of 70% or less at a temperature equal to or lower than the dehydration temperature of a crystal water of the hydrotalcite-like substance (preferably 90˚C to 110˚C inclusive) while keeping the moisture content of the resulting hydrotalcite-like particulate material at 10% or greater. It becomes possible to produce a hydrotalcite-like particulate material having a stable morphology and a high anion exchange property at a lower cost.
