Abstract:
Provided are a dental treatment device and a hygiene shield for a dental chair, the shield being capable of preventing viral infections caused by scattered cutting dust and airborne droplets from the oral cavity without interfering with treatment. This shield (12) has: an arm part (20) extending from the back surface of a headrest (6) to the front side; a shield body (41) attached to the tip of the arm part (20) and disposed on the front side of the headrest (6); and a plurality of joints (28, 29, 30, 31, 32) formed in the arm part (20). The shield can be in various orientations to separate the face of an operator and the face of a subject to be treated and block dust and the like.
