Abstract:
A hygroscopic material whereby efficient dehumidification can be achieved without performing supercooling or using a large quantity of heat, and a dehumidifier using the hygroscopic material. A dried product of a polymer gel, in which a stimulus responsive polymer, said stimulus responsive polymer showing a reversible change in affinity with water in response to an external stimulus, and a hydrophilic polymer form together an interpenetrating polymer network structure or a semi-interpenetrating polymer network structure, is used as a hygroscopic material.
