Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a novel hyperbranched polymer of a copolymer whose refractive index can be adjusted to a desired value while retaining its hyperbranched structure, and a process for producing the hyperbranched polymer, and also provide a novel hyperbranched polymer whose refractive index can be precisely adjusted to a desire value and which has good optical and thermal stability, and a process for producing the hyperbranched polymer. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Disclosed is a hyperbranched polymer having, as a branched structure, a repeating unit produced from two dithiocarbamate compounds each having a vinyl structure, at the polymerization initiation site having a vinyl structure. A specific example of the hyperbranched polymer can be produced by conducting the living radical polymerization in the co-presence of N,N-diethyldithiocarbamyl methylstyrene and N,N-diethyldithiocarbamyl ethylmethacrylate.
