Abstract:
Disclosed are a hypoglycemic composition and a preparation method thereof, wherein the hypoglycemic composition comprises 1-99 parts by weight of fennel oil and 1-99 parts by weight of onion oil. The fennel oil in the hypoglycemic composition can inhibit aldose reductase and α-glucosidase compared with the prior art. The active ingredients of the onion oil are a sulfonylurea butyric acid and a sulfur-containing volatile substance comprising an alliin, allylpropyl disulfide, S-allyl cysteine sulfoxide (SACS), etc. for preventing insulin from being destructed through the oxidation-reduction balance, and the fennel oil and onion oil have synergy for promoting a hypoglycemic effect; furthermore, the fennel oil and onion oil can be used as both food and medicine, and have no side effects.
