Abstract:
Cephem compounds represented by general formula (I) which have a broad antibacterial spectrum over various pathogenic bacteria and are also efficacious against MRSA, wherein X represents N or CY (wherein Y represents H or halogeno); R?1¿ represents optionally protected amino; R?2¿ represents hydrogen, optionally substituted lower alkyl, etc.; R?3¿ represents hydrogen, etc.; R?4¿ represents hydrogen, optionally substituted lower alkyl, an optionally substituted nitrogen-containing heterocycle, etc.; R?5¿ represents hydrogen, etc.; and the wavy lines means syn- or anti-isomerism or a mixture thereof.
