Abstract:
An IC card device comprising a self-holding solenoid (4) for driving a retaining member (3). The solenoid (4) holds the retaining member (3) before an IC card (40) is inserted into the device. When a card detector (7) detects the card (40) inserted into the device, the solenoid (4) enables the retaining member (3) to inhibit the operation of a card discharging member (2).
